Abstract

The aim of the present paper is to discuss the peculiarities of learner-centered approach as a modern and innovative approach to teaching. The importance of embracing it when teaching foreign languages cannot be overestimated. Thanks to the application of the approach students co-operate with one another and get involved in the learning process developing their communicative competence, analytical thinking, as well as decision-making and negotiation skills.
