Abstract

The paper presents the basic principles and structural features of the philosophical novel by Miguel de Unamuno. The author suggests a distinction between the concepts of building a novel and writing a novel thus he talks about three types of novels: novel as a literary genre, novel as a Nivola which is not an ordinary novel as it has an internal reality, novel as a life because the writer writes about his own life.
