The paper deals with the most frequently used stylistic devices by O. Wilde, namely simile, epithets, metaphor, metonymy, paradoxes. Some of his tales and the novel “The Picture of Dorian Gray” have been analyzed. Special attention is paid to the translation of these devices into Armenian, because translation reveals all the nuances and emotional colourings hidden in them.
