The paper examines the key concepts of Highlandism, Keilyard, Clydesidsism and their meaning, as well as the role of these concepts in the historical stages of the formation and development of Scottish national identity. The aim of the research is to show how these concepts have influenced the formation of a national discourse and popularization of the image of Scotland.
