The present article is an attempt to present the analytical approaches to C.Odets’s and L.Hellman’s plays who were the 20th century sociopolitical drama representatives. Particularly, here the themes of playwright and society as well as man and woman and class belonging are revealed. Moreover, we pay a special attention to the influence of American society of the crisis era on the above mentioned authors.
