SOCIALIST REALISM AS THE BASIS OF THE ARTISTIC METHOD OF V. SOROKIN'S EARLY TEXTS

The paper presents the historical, cultural and literary contexts, the reasons for the origin of socialist art. The poetics of socialist realism, its features and impact on the unofficial art of the USSR, in particular on the works of Vladimir Sorokin, are being analyzed (“The Norm” 1983, “The Queue” 1985).
The paper touches upon the main components of V. Sorokin's works of the Soviet period: collective language, deconstruction of the Soviet narrative, “corridor existence”. It traces the origin of V. Sorokin's approaches, present the authors who influenced the formation of the poetics of the writer's texts.
