ON SOME ASPECTS OF APPLICATION OF THE TRANSLATION METHOD IN THE PROCESS OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING

Abstract

The present paper discusses the importance of translation in the teaching process of foreign languages. Although a number of new teaching methods and versions of testing and training learners have been elaborated, translation continues to remain one of the key methods and tools for teaching and developing language skills. Alongside with other methods that help to develop different language skills, translation plays a pivotal role in deepening the knowledge of the language (vocabulary, grammar).
