Abstract

We have studied the volumetric properties of surfactant–demethylsulfoxide–water system by densitometric method. It is shown that the apparent molar volumes of system decrease by increasing dimethylsulfoxide and surfactant concentrations and increase by increasing temperature. The changes of standard partial molar volume of system are depending on type and concentration of surfactant and temperature. The obtained results are explained in terms of intermolecular interactions between components of system.
