Abstract

The paper discusses the genre of anecdote, which is of particular interest to communicative linguistics as a special source for the study of models of communicative behaviour, which makes it possible to identify sociocultural stereotypes. An anecdote is not just a humorous text, but also a precedent text with a peculiar structure and various ways of implementing a comic effect.
